Just one week after beating one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will host another super signal caller when they take on Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night football.
The Packers win over the New England Patriots in week 13 of the NFL season sent a stern message to the rest of the league that this team is a true contender and can easily win the Super Bowl. Rodgers looked flawless against the Patriots defense as he put up big numbers and secured the victory with a key third down conversion late in the game. Now he will attempt to avoid letdown when they welcome the Falcons to town in this prime time affair.
The Falcons are having a very difficult season, but they have recovered nicely and despite a mediocre record they still have a realistic shot of winning the NFC south and going to the NFL post season. They are trying to hold off the New Orleans Saints as both teams are currently tied in the standings although the Falcons own the tiebreaker since they beat the Saints early in the season. The Falcons cannot afford to lose any more games if they hope to make it to the playoffs which will make this game against the Packers a very daunting challenge.
