Welcome to the new PST Streakcatcher and Social Networking Communities. Here’s a “Streakcatcher 101” on how this site works and what you must do to be part of the Social Networking 4 Sports Bettors.
a) You must register to create a profile, so you can log into your account.
*Note: if you go to Phoenixsports.com, you will see three links at the top that says “Home – Login – New Users”, make sure you click on “New Users” and fill out the form. Then next time you visit the site, just click the “login” link.
Before we proceed, please understand there are 2 separate worlds here at Phoenixsports.com.
1) Streakcatcher Game
2) Social Networking Community
Now that you are logged in, you will see bright yellow links at the very top of the page that shows you the Streakcatcher Navigational Links; click on the “Make Picks” link. Once you hit “Make Picks”, choose the sport you wish to make a pick from and then select one game that involves the team you want to pick. Then, once you’ve checked the game, make your pick, either the side or total of that game. You will notice every money line pick cannot exceed -125, mostly for NHL Hockey and MLB Baseball. Once you’ve made your pick, you will be asked to confirm your selection a few times, so make sure you confirm your selection after you made your pick. Basically, follow every step in the “make picks” process until you see the message that says “Thank you ‘John Doe’ for playing Streakcatcher for Monday, Dec 03 2007. Your picks have been submitted for today’s challenge.”

Then once you’ve made your pick, the Streakcatcher Navigation bar will show the following. Instead of “Make Picks”, you should now see “View picks”. When you click this link, it will show you the pick you made for that day.

That’s all there is to playing Streakcatcher. Just login each day and make your pick. Follow your “view history” board to track and see how you’ve been doing. On the “View History” page, this is where you will find all the past picks you’ve made and it will tell you if the picks won or lost. Remember, you can win prizes and money by winning at certain stages. Pick 17 games in a row and you will win $10,000 in cash. Welcome to the Social Networking Community section, in which you will learn on how to access the communication tools and how to access the users posting forums.
Right below the Streakcatcher Navigational links, you will see 3 RED BOXES that say “Picture Catcher, Clip Catcher, and GBUB Catcher” and the last box that has “My Buddy Tree, Top Posters, My Groupies, Forum Search, Send Message and My Buddies Picks” is called the “BUG BOX”.
Picture Catcher: If you would like to load up some personal pictures, this is where you will add them to your Picture Catcher account. Click on the ADD YOUR PICTURE link below this section and you will be asked to load up your pictures on the next page.
Clip Catcher: If you want to load up some video clips from You Tube, then click on the “ADD YOUR CLIPS” link and cut and paste the YOU TUBE embedded code that YOU TUBE provides and then save the clip to your account. Once you save the clip, it will show up in the clip catcher and people will be able to click your clips.
GBUB Catcher: The CBUB Catcher is where you can load up your personal or professional articles. In the internet world, these articles are called “blogs” and you can upload your GBUB blogs on our site. GBUB stands for “Good, Bad, Ugly Blog”, no real reason aside from it sounds cool I guess! Furthermore, we’ve limited the number of characters you can post in the posting forum to 1000 characters, any articles that are over 1000 characters, you must post them in your blog. Furthermore, the GBUB blog section is the best way to invite people to your forum or promote any site or promotion you want. Whatever you want to promote, feel free to promote it, even if it’s your own personal website. We want people using the GBUB section as a marketing tool for their own agenda.
My Buddy Tree: The “My Buddy Tree” page is where you will keep track of all of your friends. Each time you make or invite somebody to your buddy tree, they will show up on this page. It’s important to invite as many buddies to your buddy tree as possible, as it gives you more buddy points every time you invite somebody to this section. Plus, if you want to create a special posting forum for only your buddies, then you have the option of creating a special forum and invite the buddies of your choice. Plus, once you invite a buddy to your buddy tree, you can view their buddy list and invite their friends to your network. Add buddies by clicking on the “LEADERBOARD” in the Streakcatcher Navigational bar at the top or send out emails to your friends to join your network with the “Invite family or friends to join your buddy tree” link at the top of your buddy tree page.
Top Posters: The Top Posters page is a location to promote or recruit the top posting members who can be a real positive contributor to your posting forum. The secret to any forum is having positive and energetic posting forum members and recruiting top posters can really bring more traffic to your community. The “Top Posters” ranking page is set by the following criteria;
· APD = Average Post per Day they make in any forum.
· NOF = Number of Friends on their buddy tree page.
· BP = Buddy Points they’ve accumulated
· RP = Recommend Points. How many people have recommended this poster.
· AP = Appreciation Points given to them by other posters.
My Groupies: This is the link which you will click to access the posting forums you belong too. In order to interact in a posting forum, you must be accepted by the person who is running that posting forum. To find a forum, simply click on the “Forum Search” link below the “My Groupies” link in the “bug box”. Every forum that you join, you will need to access that forum from this link after you’ve been approved. The “My Groupies” link is basically you’re posting forum home page to each forum you belong too.
You will notice in the “My Groupies” forum, you have certain color coded links and numbers. Using the example below, here’s what each of the color coded boxes means and how you are suppose to use them.
Example:
RP2 = this means 2 users have recommended this posting forum member. Click on the link RP2 inside the green box to recommend this user as a good poster. Once you click on a users RP link, you will see all the users who have recommended this forum member.
AP13: = If you like the work this person has been doing in any forum, donate some of your buddy points to their account. I would recommend 10 buddy points to productive posters who are good for the community. When other members see the amount of buddy points that have been donated to this user, they will realize this user is in good standing order in the sports betting community.
PPR 513.42 = Using the Top Posters chart, the PPR stands for “Poster Power Rating” and this gives the user a power rating number on their performance at the site. See the Top Posters link above for a complete breakdown on this user. The Higher the number, the more powerful the poster!

Forum Search: If this is your first time at the site, this is the main link you need to click on first. Once you click on the “Forum Search” link, find any forum that suits your style and join that network. If you’re a NFL Pro football fan and want to join a NFL football forum only, then click on the link that is associated with NFL football and click on the “join this forum” link. After you’ve clicked, you will notice a yellow note that says “pending”. Once the owner of that site receives and approves your request to join their forum, you will be able to access that forum via the “My Groupies” link. You can join as many forums as you want via the “Forum Search” link. Find the forum that fits your need and then keep checking the “My Groupies” link to access the forum. Once you’ve been approved, you will see a green “approved” note beside that forum on the “Forum Search” page.
Send Group Message: If you’re running short on time and want to send a broadcast message to all your friends on your buddy tree, then use this feature. Once you send a message via the “Send Group Message” link, all the people on your buddy tree will receive your note in their message centre. Once you receive a message from a buddy, you will see a link that says “You have xx message”. Click on it and you can read your messages from your buddies. Make sure to delete your message, as we have an auto delete after 30 days, as we don’t want people loading up their message center and wasting disk space. Read, reply and delete please.
My Buddies Picks: Here’s one of the best features on the site and another great reasons to stock up on buddies, as you can see their top pick. Each day when one of your buddies make their picks in the Streakcatcher, the “My buddies Pick” page will show you which picks your buddies are betting on that day in one snapshot!
Buddy Points: Each time you make new friends or go on a winning streak in the streakcatcher, you earn buddy points. Plus, it’s recommended that you give some appreciation points to your buddies who are making a contribution to the forums, as we have an Appreciation system that allows you to donate appreciation points to other users. Plus, keep those appreciation points building up, starting in January 2008, we will be doing random draws for prizes. Click on the “Earn Buddy Points” link inside the buddy point’s box for further explanations.
Sportsbook Popularity: The Sportsbook Popularity link is to show the PST community which is one of the top sponsored Sportsbook at the site. Each member has a voting right under their “My Profile” link in which they can vote for their top Sportsbook. It’s a good tool to use for people who would like to sign up with a respected Sportsbook. Plus, there’s a testimonial section, where players can share their experience with that Sportsbook.
Mayor of the Day: The Mayor of the Day feature below your avatar is to showcase one member a day. The member will receive 10 buddy points and other members can view their profile and add them to their buddy tree page if they wish.
1) Click on the “Update Profile” link at the very top of the page and fill out the form, as this will give other readers an idea on who you are and give you more chances of making new friends at the PST.

Don’t want to receive emails from all your
buddies, then just click on “disable” email feature in the “update profile”
page, this feature is at the very bottom of the page.
