2009 "Autism Speaks 400" Payouts
David Reutimann can thank his lucky stars for bad weather in Charlotte over the past Memorial Day weekend, as it earned his Toyota Team $403,748 for winning the Coca Cola 600 on only 227 laps instead of the usual 400.
Had the weather hold up, the #18 car and the #9 car were the cars to beat on this Monday, because they were neck and neck from around the lap 180 to the last weather warning. Nevertheless, this race should have not been called after 227 laps, it’s called the Coca Cola 600 for a reason and they should have finished the race or just cancel the event. You don’t cancel a NBA Playoff game at the start of the 3rd quarter and award the winner the prize after 3 quarters right?
Jimmy Johnson seems to be the car to beat this weekend, as the Las Vegas Sportsbooks have made him a +400 favorite to win. Meaning, if you wagered $100 on Johnson’s car to win, he would payout $400. If you like betting on longshots, Kasey Kahne is a +3000 underdog and he would pay $3000 on every $100 bet.
Congrats to NASCAR and Best Buy for sponsoring this event and bringing awareness to Autism.
