2009 "British Grand Prix" Betting Odds
Well, whenever you have one driver and team dominating the F1 racing field, you have to find other ways to stay “engaged” in the race and I found betting on head to head matchups might be your best bet to stay entertained this weekend.
Let’s face it, there’s no value in laying -140 on Button to win, as they’ve dominated this year and the real fight is who’s going to win second or third to meet Button on the podium. When you have a brand name like Ferrari threatening to pull out, I’m pretty sure good ole Bernie Ecclestone who lifted the Canadian Grand Prix this season, will need to adjust their rules if they intend to keep Ferrari in the F1 family.
It would be a shame to see such a class organization like Ferrari leaving the F1 schedule in the 2010 season.
Here’s a betting proposition I like for the British Grand Prix this weekend. Take Rubens Barichello at -110 to finish in the TOP 3 standings this weekend. If you wager $100 on Rubens Barichello and he finishes on the podium, you will make a $100 profit.
Here are the current drivers standings for the 2009 F1 season.

According to Wiki: The British Grand Prix is a race in the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is currently held at the Silverstone Circuit near the village of Silverstone in Northamptonshire. The British and Italian Grands Prix are the oldest continuously staged Formula One World Championship Grands Prix. Grand Prix motor racing was first established in Britain by Henry Segrave at the Brooklands course in 1926 after his winning of the 1923 French Grand Prix and the San Sebastián Grand Prix the following year, which raised interest in the sport. The first ever British Grand Prix was won by the French team of Louis Wagner and Robert Sénéchal driving a Delage 155B. Silverstone has hosted the race regularly since the start of the F1 championship in 1950 (in which it was the first race of the first ever official World Championship) and every year since 1987; it alternated with Brands Hatch between 1964 and 1986, and with Aintree (better known as a horse-racing course) between 1955 and 1962.
Ron Raymond's British Grand Prix Prediction
Want to bet on the British Grand Prix this weekend? Right now if you go to Bookmaker Sportsbook and lay $100 on Kimi Raikkonen to win the race at Silverstone, he will net you a return of $2000 in profits. Want a medium to low risk favorite? Bet on Sebastien Vettel, lay $100 to win $450 if Vettel wins this Sunday. Here’s my F1 British Grand Prix pick this weekend; let’s look at the head to head racing matchups. Let’s take and pick Rubens Barichello at -165 over Mark Webber in the head to head matchup, as a Barichello will net you a $100 profit by laying $165.
How does the F1 payout work? Example: If Sebastien Vettel is 5 to 1 odds, this means he would payout $500 on every $100 wager.
