Opening day starter Carl Pavano goes back to the hill tonight for the Yankees as they begin a series in Minnesota.  The Yankees have not had a quality start this season and are hoping Pavano can give them some innings tonight.  New York’s best pitcher, Chien-Ming Wang is still on the disabled and the pitching staff has suffered.  The staff had an ERA of almost 10 runs per game this past week and not one starter got past the fifth inning.
