The UCLA Bruins and Florida Gators meet in a rematch of last year’s title game that Florida won easily.  In order for this game to be different than last year’s the Bruins must play defense. "The bottom line is we know that in order to win these games, you have to play defense," UCLA forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute said. "You look at the Kansas game; we had 25 turnovers and still were able to win. The Gators won last year’s game 73-57 and have the same starting lineup that the Bruins couldn’t stop last year. All five starters are scoring in double figures. "They're very talented at every spot and they require a lot of attention," UCLA assistant coach Kerry Keating said. "There's no secret why their numbers are so good. It's going to be a big challenge for our guys. And I think they'll be up to that challenge."

The Bruins finished second in scoring defense in the Pac-10 this season, limiting teams to an average of 59.5 points. Florida will try and do what they did last year.  There's Humphrey, the 3-point specialist, there’s Corey Brewer, who shut down UCLA's Arron Afflalo during the final last year; there is Joakim Noah, Taurean Green and Al Horford.  Florida could be distracted with all of the talk about Billy Donovan being interested in the Kentucky job but so far it has not been an issue. "He really hasn't addressed it to us because we don't think it's a concern," reserve forward Chris Richard said. "If it came down to it, he'd probably talk about it after the season is over. We don't really see that happening."
