Today’s NHL Playoff Preview and Picks
Atlanta – NYR: under 5.5 -130
*Note: No professional athlete wants to be embarrassed, but it’s pretty obvious the Thrashers don’t have the goaltending to compete vs. the Rangers and their top players like Hossa and Kovalchuk have mailed it in. In fact, Hossa did the same thing in Ottawa and Atlanta might want to consider moving him to another team in the off season, as he’s a none factor in the playoffs.

New Jersey PK –120 vs. Tampa Bay
*Note: When you get to this point in a series, you know each team has a shot to win, so you have to consider value and experience. New Jersey has both in this case. Not a huge play, but Beer money on the Devils here.
New Jersey 4 Tampa Bay 2
NYI PK +165 vs. Buffalo
*Note: Just a ridiculous price on a home underdog that has bite! The Islanders have 6 twenty goals scorers on the season in this line up and Buffalo has been lucky to say the least. The Islanders have people believing, including themselves and with DiPietro in nets for New York, you have a shot each night. Take the great dog value here on the Islanders.
NYI 3 Buffalo 2
Nashville PK –130 vs. San Jose
*Note : Maybe one of the best series in the playoffs, along with the Pittsburgh vs. Ottawa series. Great intensity, decent goaltending and players are playing like there’s no tomorrow. Great series. As for Game 4, look for the Preds top players to pick it up this evening, as going back to Nashville down 3-1 is not a situation the Predators want to be in, as it would be a huge momentum swing for the Sharks. Getting Nashville at PK +150 is a nice price and I expect a gut wrenching road effort from Forsberg tonight. Play Nashville.
Nasville 3 San Jose 2
