At press time, the LA Lakers, New Orleans Hornets, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic are hard at work preparing for Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs.

This stage of the post-season can be a little tricky.  The First Round tends to be somewhat predictable with a couple of the league’s bottom-feeders on the court.  That’s not the case in the Conference Semi-Finals.  The cream-of-the-crop usually emerges and games tend to be much more competitive.

If you can get on track early in the second stanza, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be successful in this round of the NBA Playoffs.  Listed below are eight situations that I’ve been tracking since 1990 that have provided me with a bundle of pointspread winners.  Take a look at these money-making situations.

Round 2 Game 1 – Home team is 54-14 SU and 38-27-3 ATS

Play ON – Host vs an opponent that enters off a straight up underdog win – 16-6-2 ATS

Play ON – Host vs a foe that owns a won/loss percentage less than .645 – 27-12-3 ATS

Round 2 Game 2 – Home team is 50-18 SU and 27-38-3 ATS

Play AGAINST – Host coming off a blowout win of 12 points or more – 17-8 ATS

Play OVER – Host coming off a straight up win in game one – 35-17-1 ATS

Round 2 Game 3 – Home team is 38-30 SU and 32-36 ATS

Play AGAINST – Host enters off a straight up win – 14-4 ATS

Play ON – Host arrives off back-to-back straight up losses – 23-15 ATS

Round 2 Game 4 – Home team is 35-33 SU and 35-33 ATS

Play AGAINST – Host owns a won/loss percentage less than or equal to .567 – 13-2 ATS

Play ON – Home dogs priced at +4 o more – 8-3 ATS

Amazingly, there is one situation that I discovered that pops in the first four games of the second round that carries a mind-boggling 19-1 ATS record and has won 19 consecutive times!  It’s not listed above but you can find it on the Team Stryker website on a pay after you win basis when it pops!  So be sure to check back daily when the second round tips off!
